Lunenburg Ocean Adventures has evolved over many years of love and hard work from the Flower Family, with the whole family being involved in its evolution over the years.
THE CAPTAIN
Capt. Bill
Bill and his wife Hilary live in Blue Rocks, Nova Scotia, about 2 miles outside Historic Lunenburg.
Bill is a commercial lobster fisherman during the winter months, and works as a Marine Co-ordinator in the film industry during the spring and summer.
In his his former life he was a commercial diver working on off-shore oil rigs and salvage diving. He participated in the salvage of the oil rig Ocean Ranger and the White Star liner HMS Republic among many other projects which took him to some unfathomable depths.
Bill is also a avid Fly Fisherman, spending most of his spare time in the summer fishing the Nova Scotia Rivers in hope of catching "The Big One"
The Boat
ISLANDER VII
Capt. Bill had dreamed this up for many years, in 2022 he launched it. After over a year in the making berthed ISLANDER VII.
ISLANDER is a Dixon built vessel. Dixon’s yard, located in Lower Woods Harbor is well known for there rugged North Atlantic style lobster fishing vessels.
ISLANDER was designed and outfitted by Capt. Bill to be a Safe, Fast, and Efficient vessel to both take you out on your adventures but to also brave the North Atlantic winters as a commercial lobster fishing vessel.
