What about the weather?

We can’t control it, but we operate rain or shine. We do cancel due to weather if the captain deems it unsafe to take you on your trip. We strive to notify our passengers as soon as possible and will contact you with regards to your trip with options to rebook.

Am I guaranteed to bring home fish?

While we can’t guarantee you will catch something as it is fishing after all. We can 99% guarantee the boat will be catching fish!

What should I bring?

Check the weather, and bring an extra layer or two! The weather can be very different from onshore due to water temperature and wind.

Suggested Packing List:

• 2 Extra Layers

• Rain jack or Wind Breaker

• Water and Drinks (BYOB)

• Food

• Suitable footwear

• Cooler - to bring your catch home!

Do I need a fishing rod?

All rods and rigging are provided, you will be instructed on how to use them on your way out to the fishing grounds. While we provide all the rigging, we do have stipulations. If you lose more than 3 rigs (hooks and sinkers) you will be charged for the gear at cost.

Can I bring my own fishing gear?

Of course!

Is there parking?

Yes! Paid parking is available at the Fisheries Museum. There is also street parking in Lunenburg. Please consider arriving early to secure your parking spot especially during the busy summer season.
